CUbE x WORK feat. Paxahau: Dlectricity 2014
September 26-27, 2014, Detroit MI. CUbE x WORK feat. Paxahau is a three-dimensional form, designed to create light and motion, in nontraditional spaces. The objective is to inspire viewers to see their physical environment from a whole new perspective. CUbE x WORK is an 12’H x 12’W x 12’L box consisting of a steel sub-structure, mounted on a low rising platform that can be disassembled and transported to all environments. It is easily assembled and covered, on all sides, with two-way projection screen. Four video projectors are used to project a combination of both computer generated and pre-recorded images. The interactive images are created by using SimpleCV , an open-source software developed by an Ann Arbor firm. The programs we write in SimpleCV allow us to binarize the image and adjust the threshold as the event light conditions require. Sound for CUbE x WORK is provided by Paxahau, producers of the Movement Electronic Music Festival.
